Cost TransparencyCompare Hospital Costs, Oregon Health Policy and Research -- This website contains data gathered by The Department of Consumer and Business Services from insurers in Oregon on the payments made to Oregon hospitals. The Web site contains data on the average payments for common conditions or procedures. Oregon Price Point System -- This Web site provided by the Oregon Association of Hospitals & Health Systems allows health care consumers to receive basic, facility-specific information about services and charges. The information being displayed is based on charges only, individuals need to contact their insurer to determine the specific amount that will be paid under their policy for the selected service.

Quality MeasuresConsumer Purchaser Disclosure Project -- The Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project is a group of leading employer, consumer, and labor organizations working toward a common goal to ensure that all Americans have access to publicly reported health care performance information. Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation -- The Quality Corporation coordinates projects that lead to real solutions for improving health care quality through better information and increased community-wide collaboration. Oregon Hospital Quality Indicators -- This report compares data gathered on 14 procedures and conditions. The comparisons focus on in-hospital volumes and death rates for certain conditions and inpatient procedures. Health Care Acquired Infections Advisory Committee -- The HCAIAC is a statutorily mandated committee to advise Oregon Health Policy and Research on the development of a health care acquired infections reporting program in Oregon. Hospital Compare – US Department of Health & Human Services -- This tool provides information on how well hospitals care for patients with certain medical conditions or surgical procedures and gives results from a survey of patients about the quality of care they received during a recent hospital stay. The National Committee for Quality Assurance -- NCQA has been a central figure in driving improvement throughout the health care system, helping to elevate the issue of health care quality to the top of the national agenda. URAC -- URAC promotes continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of health care delivery by achieving a common understanding of excellence among purchasers, providers, and patients. URAC Purchasers Guide -- URAC has partnered with the NBCH to offer this guide to purchasing and managing PBM services. URAC has utilized its experience in bringing industry experts and stakeholders together to form the editorial advisory committee for this guide. The committee has worked together to define the basic information that is essential for today’s purchaser of PBM services. Hospital Compare was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Health and Human Services, and other members of the Hospital Quality Alliance: Improving Care Through Information (HQA).
